FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Every common question about working with Beta Werkz, answered in one place — the S$588 starter website, custom web applications, booking systems, WhatsApp automation, CMS, timelines and payment terms.
PRICING & PACKAGES
Is the S$588 Starter website WordPress?
No. The Starter Corporate Website is custom-built by Beta Werkz — not WordPress and not a template. It includes professional UI/UX design, mobile responsive layout, up to 8 pages, basic SEO setup, and a contact form.
Does the S$588 package include booking systems or WhatsApp automation?
No. S$588 covers the design and development of your official corporate website only. Booking functions, WhatsApp bots and auto-replies, CRM, and workflow automation are digitalisation projects that we scope and quote separately — contact us for a free consultation on the digitisation and automation side.
Are hosting and domain included?
Yes. The Starter package includes 1 year of free hosting and 1 year free domain name. After the first year, hosting and domain renewals are billed at standard rates.
How fast can the website go live?
The Starter Corporate Website goes live within 2 working days after design and content sign-off (text, images and logo finalised).
What are the payment terms?
Starter is 100% payment upfront before work begins. For Business (SME) custom projects, it is 40% upfront, 40% at mid-milestone, and 20% upon delivery.
What if I don't need CMS integration?
CMS integration is optional for Starter. If you choose not to opt in, that's perfectly fine — your fixed price remains S$588. If you want to edit content yourself later, CMS integration is available at S$30/month.
Do you offer maintenance for Starter?
Yes — if you require live support covering updates, monitoring, and minor changes, this is available at S$100/month.
Can I upgrade to a custom web application later?
Yes. Many clients start with the Starter website and later move to the Business (SME) plan for custom web applications with user logins, dashboards, databases, and integrations. Your existing website and domain carry over.
CORPORATE WEBSITES
How much does a corporate website cost in Singapore?
Beta Werkz offers a fixed S$588 Starter Corporate Website with up to 8 pages, custom design, mobile responsive build, basic SEO, contact form, and 1 year free hosting and domain. This price covers the website itself — booking systems, WhatsApp automation and CRM features are digitalisation projects quoted separately after a free consultation.
Is the website WordPress?
No. Beta Werkz builds custom-coded websites — not WordPress and not templates. That means faster load times, no plugin vulnerabilities, and a design that is genuinely yours.
How long does it take to launch?
The Starter website goes live within 2 working days after you sign off on the design and content. Larger corporate sites with custom sections typically take 3–4 working days depending on content readiness.
Can I update the content myself?
Yes — optional CMS integration at S$30/month lets you edit content yourself. If you prefer, our maintenance option at S$100/month covers updates, monitoring, and minor changes for you.
Is hosting and the domain included?
Yes, the first year of hosting and your domain name are included free with the Starter package.
Will the website show up on Google?
Every site ships with clean semantic HTML, unique page metadata, a sitemap, and Google Search Console submission. We build sites to be readable by both search engines and AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
What if I outgrow the starter website?
You can upgrade to a custom web application — user logins, dashboards, booking systems, CRM — at any time. Your domain and content carry over.
CUSTOM WEB APPLICATIONS
How much does a custom web application cost in Singapore?
It depends on scope — the number of modules, integrations, user roles, and support requirements. Beta Werkz scopes your requirements in a free consultation and provides a fixed quote before work begins. Payment is milestone-based: 40% upfront, 40% at mid-milestone, 20% on delivery.
How long does a custom web application take to build?
General workflow automation typically takes 1–2 weeks; a full custom web application with multiple modules and integrations takes 2–4 weeks depending on module and workflow readiness. You get a timeline with milestones as part of your quote.
Should I build custom or use off-the-shelf SaaS?
If a SaaS product fits 90% of your workflow, use it. Custom makes sense when your process is your competitive advantage, when you are juggling several tools that don’t talk to each other, or when per-seat SaaS pricing outgrows a one-time build.
Can you integrate with our existing tools?
Yes — API integrations are a core part of most builds: payment gateways, WhatsApp Business Platform, Google Calendar, accounting tools, and existing databases.
Who owns the code?
You do. On completion and full payment, the source code and infrastructure belong to your business — no vendor lock-in.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. SME projects include 3 months of post-launch support with SLA-backed response times, and ongoing maintenance plans are available after that.
WORKFLOW DIGITISATION
What is workflow digitisation?
Workflow digitisation means converting manual business processes — spreadsheets, paper forms, ad-hoc chats — into structured digital systems with clear records, automated notifications, and live dashboards. The goal is fewer errors, less double work, and full visibility.
How is this different from just buying SaaS software?
Off-the-shelf SaaS forces your process to fit the tool. Workflow digitisation starts from how your team actually works and builds the system around it — which matters when your process is what makes your business competitive.
How much does workflow digitisation cost in Singapore?
It depends on how many processes you digitise and what integrations you need. Beta Werkz starts with a free consultation, maps your workflow, and gives you a fixed quote before any work begins.
How long does it take?
A single process — for example, enquiry-to-booking — typically takes 1–2 weeks. Larger multi-process systems run 2–4 weeks.
Can it include WhatsApp automation?
Yes. Many Singapore workflows run on WhatsApp, so we frequently build automated confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups into digitised workflows, with two-way inboxes for staff.
Will my team need training?
We design for the least technical person on your team and include onboarding as part of every project. If a system needs a manual to use, we consider that a design failure.
CUSTOM CMS
What is a custom CMS?
A custom CMS is a content management system built specifically for your business — an admin console where your team edits exactly the content your site needs (rooms, packages, courses, prices), instead of forcing everything into a generic blog structure like WordPress.
Is a custom CMS better than WordPress?
For content-heavy blogs on a tight budget, WordPress can be fine. A custom CMS is better when you need structured content, role-based workflows, strong security, and a fast public site without plugin risk. We wrote a full comparison in our WordPress vs custom CMS guide.
How much does a custom CMS cost in Singapore?
CMS integration on a Beta Werkz Starter website is S$30/month. A fully bespoke CMS platform with custom content types, roles and workflows is quoted by scope — typically scoped in a free consultation first.
Can you migrate content from my existing WordPress site?
Yes — content migration from WordPress or any existing site is a standard part of our CMS projects.
Can different staff have different editing rights?
Yes. Role-based access is a core feature: editors draft, approvers publish, and admins manage users — each seeing only what they need.
Will my site slow down as content grows?
No. The public site is custom-coded and served independently of the CMS, so it stays fast regardless of how much content your team adds.
WHATSAPP AUTOMATION
How much does WhatsApp automation cost in Singapore?
It depends on scope — how many automated journeys you need, whether you want a team inbox, and what systems we integrate with. Beta Werkz scopes this in a free consultation and quotes before work begins. Meta’s per-conversation WhatsApp Business Platform fees apply separately.
Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?
For real automation — templated messages, automated journeys, multi-staff inboxes — yes, you need the WhatsApp Business Platform (API). The free WhatsApp Business app only supports basic manual auto-replies on one phone. We handle the Platform setup and template approvals for you.
Can the bot hand over to a human?
Yes. Human handover is standard in our builds: automation handles routine steps, and the moment a customer needs a person, the conversation lands in your team inbox with full context.
Can it send booking reminders?
Yes — automated confirmations, reminders and follow-ups are the most common journeys we build, and they meaningfully reduce no-shows.
Can it connect to my CRM or calendar?
Yes. We integrate WhatsApp journeys with CRMs, Google Calendar, and booking systems — or build the CRM itself, as we did for Mulberry Learning.
Can multiple staff share one WhatsApp number?
Yes. The WhatsApp Business Platform supports a shared team inbox where multiple staff reply from one business number, with every conversation recorded centrally.
Can Beta Werkz maintain the system after launch?
Yes — post-launch support is included, and ongoing maintenance plans cover template updates, new journeys, and changes as your workflow evolves.
BOOKING SYSTEMS
How much does a booking system cost in Singapore?
It depends on scope — how many resources you schedule, what automation you want, and which tools we integrate. Beta Werkz scopes your requirements free and provides a fixed quote before work begins.
Can it send WhatsApp reminders automatically?
Yes — automated WhatsApp confirmations and reminders via the WhatsApp Business Platform are a standard part of our booking builds, and the most effective way to reduce no-shows.
Can it work with Google Calendar?
Yes, bookings can sync to Google Calendar so your staff see their schedule in the tools they already use.
Can it handle deposits or payments?
Yes — deposit and payment flows can be integrated with local payment gateways as part of the booking flow.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. Our booking flows run on your website and work on any phone browser. A dedicated app is possible but rarely necessary.
What if I already have a website?
We can add a booking system to your existing site, or build it alongside a new site — the Rave Karaoke project combined a new website with room booking and a custom admin backend.
